The CFIR Card Game: a new approach for working with implementation teams to identify challenges and strategies
The creators of the Walk the Talk toolkit created the CFIR Card Game to help implementation teams to identify barriers they may face in implementing their innovations. The CFIR Card Game is played in meetings 8 and 9 of the 12-meeting planning process.
This research article about the CFIR Card Game was published in the journal Implementation Science Communications in 2021 and is open-access (meaning free for anyone to download). It describes the game in detail and presents the results of a descriptive evaluation focused on facilitators’ and implementation team members’ experiences of playing the game.
