Implementing recovery into services – a systematic review of research studies
Under the leadership of Principal Investigator Dr. Myra Piat, and with funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, a systematic review was undertaken of all published articles reporting findings about the experience, process and factors influencing the implementation of recovery into services.
This mixed studies systematic review was published in the journal Systematic Reviews in 2021 and is available open-access (meaning it is free for anyone to download). In the review the authors categorise the literature into seven types of recovery innovations and highlight the implementation factors that were common across innovations. The review fed-into multiple parts of the Walk the Talk toolkit, including some of the “shopping list” activities conducted in the 12-meeting planning process and powerpoint presentations discussing common implementation issues implementation teams should consider.
